Handing Over

My daughter’s boyfriend had just asked us for the hand of our daughter in marriage. I could not believe that all this is happening so fast, especially since I had just witnessed our daughter graduate from medical school. Since I know that her boyfriend would take care of my daughter, I had given my approval to allow him to propose to our daughter.

I wanted to be able to talk to my daughter after the proposal, so I went ahead and scheduled a dinner with her. I am planning to get her this freshwater pearl ring with diamonds, something I want her to have and remember me by. I am the first man in his life, and while there may be a person in his heart now, I wanted to make sure that my own daughter will still keep me in her heart.

On One Knee

During our second year anniversary, I was asked by my boyfriend to meet him in the marina at exactly seven pm. It was just like any ordinary day; I got home and showered so I can prepare early for our dinner. I even fell asleep on the couch for half an hour because I finished off dressing up a bit earlier than usual. I was by the marina a few minutes before our scheduled meeting time.

He escorted me to this great looking yacht which surprised me because I thought we were only having dinner by the marina restaurant. I was more shocked when the yacht started to move; apparently we were going to have a short trip around the area. When dessert was served, I was shocked when I saw this amethyst diamond ring on my Creme Bruegel shining against the sunset. He then bent on one knee and proposed. Not knowing what to say, I nodded my head and cried, only to realize that my family and friends had been hiding from us the entire time!

Capturing My Heart

When I first met my girlfriend I instantly knew that I wanted to have her as my girlfriend. There was something about her eyes and her smile that captivated me when she was being introduced by a friend. I immediately made my move and did not stop until I was able to get her to go out with me. We are a couple for more than a year now.

Since our monthsary is coming up in a few weeks, something we still both celebrate, I wanted to give her something which would be elegant as well as meaningful. I found this CZ heart pendant which I knew would be perfect for the occasion, something that had a sentimental value and meaning to it. I remember she had lost the heart pendant her late father had given her, so this would be a great replacement this time around from the love of her life.

Perfect Fit

My father-in-law is one of the esteemed members of the Mason, and I only found out about it a few weeks ago when we came over to my sister-in-law’s birthday party and got introduced to some of their family members who too were part of the group. I was excited because my father also was a member; it was just too bad he had died way before I even got married.

I wanted to give something to my father-in-law as a token of gratitude for all of the things he has helped us out with, most particularly his finances. I am also happy that he also treats me just like his own child, especially now that I no longer had a father. I got one of those shrine rings from the internet and sent a note to him. There was really no occasion for it, but I thought I wanted him to know how appreciative we are of all his help.

Keeping Promises

They say that promises are meant to be broken, but I believe otherwise. This is because I myself had promised my girlfriend that she was the only one I want to spend the rest of my life with and I meant it. For now though, I would still need to fix my life and get my career on track so I can provide better for my wife and future kids when that happens.

I wanted to show her how sincere I was when I made that promise to her one night, so I got one of those eternity rings which I ordered from the internet. This would be the sign of my commitment and love for her, hoping that she would be able to wait for me until I am ready to provide her the life she deserved. At least this way I can get her to stay with me and have that assurance we will both be beside each other no matter what.

Making It Work

My girlfriend and I have been having differences and I have noticed that we were both distancing ourselves from each other in order for us not to clash. I must admit that this is bound to go nowhere if I just leave it as it is. With this in toll, I would not at all be surprised if we would one day realize that we have more hate than love for each other.

I wanted to make things right for the two of us, and at least find a way to make everything work. I realized that I could not live without her and that she meant the whole world to me, and one’s pride will never do any good. I planned out for a dinner and got one of those amethyst rings as a make-up present for her. If this still does not work out, then at least I know I have tried everything possible to make it right.

Party Giveaways

My youngest daughter has just successfully celebrated her birthday party just last weekend. I am kind of relieved that all the planning and hard work had paid off. I have been into this project for a month, and with all the things I need to prepare it was indeed a stressful thing. I am glad though that everyone who attended had nothing but good praises for the party.

My daughter loves cupcakes so we centered the whole theme of the party on them. I got a cupcake tier for her birthday cake, and even have a make-your-own cupcake station at the end of the buffet line I have set up. The kids and adults alike had so much fun personalizing their cupcakes. The giveaways though were the highlight, as I gave out cupcake necklace which the kids absolutely adored. I am hoping that next year things would be as less stressful now that I had gotten used to planning these things.

Perfect Gift

Mother’s day is coming up soon, and as always I would need to look for something I can give to my mother on that day. We usually have lunch together with the rest of my siblings and celebrate the entire day with her. This year we are planning to hold the celebration in my house since my dad had just gone out of the hospital.

I wanted to make sure that my gift would be extra special this year, especially after I myself have just delivered my first baby and realized how difficult it is to become a mother. I promised myself that I would now appreciate my mom more than ever. I saw this Tahitian pearl ring on the internet and figured this would be the perfect gift for my mom. No gift can surpass all the sacrifices that she has done for all of us.

Doing My Part

For an art teacher like me, I would want my students not only to get creative and to use their imagination for creating the most wonderful works of art. I also wanted to impart to them some good values which they can keep with them even after the class is over. This is the least I can do to help mold the future generation into better individuals than we hoped for.

One of the lessons I am very particular with is the concept of environmental consciousness. I always try to find ways on how to incorporate this into art, so I have worked with scrap material arts to recycled jewelry projects for my students. This way, they can always see the best side of things and be able to transform something which seems ugly and useless into something useful and beautiful.

Wish List

Given that our anniversary is coming real soon, I asked my girlfriend for a wish list on what she wanted for this momentous occasion. She never answered me, and told me off by saying that I have to figure it all out. Whatever it is that I give her would be much appreciated, so long that the same came from me. I know that this would need to be extra special to impress her.

I asked my sister as to what she would want to receive if she was in my girlfriend’s position. She told me she would want a rhodium ring which can be worn casually on a daily basis but would still exude some sort of elegance. Hopefully my girlfriend would feel the same way, and that jewelry would be the one thing on her wish list which she wants me to figure out all by myself.
